US Does Not Sell F-35 to Thailand, Aims to Return 369 Million

The Bangkok Post news agency reported citing sources from the Air Force that the US Department of Defense Rejected Thailand's bid to buy F-35 fighter jets and offered F-16 Block 70 and F-15 Eagle fighters instead. The Royal Thai Air Force is ready, probably in the next 5-10 years.

The source also stated that the Air Force is still considering buying a Gripen fighter jet. Another fleet from Sweden's Saab AB. The Royal Thai Air Force previously purchased 12 Gripen fighter jets stationed at Wing 7 in Surat Thani province, losing one in a 2017 accident.
