Induction of 3 RTAF ATR-72 600 into service (photos : RTAF)
Over the past week The Air Force held a ceremony for inducting 12 T-6C training aircraft into service at the Advanced Training Squadron, Flight Training Division, Aviation School. Kamphaeng Saen District Nakhon Pathom Province, replacing the PC-9M that was retired from service.
In addition, the RTAF also held a ceremony for inducting 3 ATR 72-600 transport aircraft, which are stationed in Squadron 603, Wing 6, Don Mueang, in addition to the 3 ATR 72-500 aircraft that are currently stationed.
Originally 4 ATR-72 were stationed but there was an accident and 3 ATR 72-500 planes were left in use. These 6 ATR-72 planes will be used for missions to transport important people and general passengers.
