The prototype of the 8x8 APC (Armoured Personnel Carrier) known as the Black Widow Spider (BWS) 8x8 for the needs of the Royal Thai Army at the National Defense Technology Institute, DTI has sent give the car in the year 2020.
Then has been updated and tested the latest in water movement, which can make a maximum floating speed in the water of 8km/h and can operate in water for at least 1 hour as a combat vehicle for the Royal Thai Army.
In the APC armored personnel carrier model, the weapon installed is still the ADDER DM 40/50 remote turret of ST Engineering Company Singapore, which consists of an STK 40 AGL 40mm automatic grenade launcher and an STK 50MG .50 caliber heavy machine gun for self-defense and fire support.
