The delegation of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, had just visited and attended the Eurosatory Army Arms Exhibition in France and had other events. The meeting aimed to promote Vietnam-France defense cooperation in a more effective and substantive direction.
From June 10-17, 2022, at the invitation of the French Ministry of Army, the delegation of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army. , attended the Eurosatory Army Arms Exhibition held at the Villepinte Exhibition Area, north of Paris, France. Participating in the delegation were also leaders of a number of functional agencies and units of the Ministry of National Defense.

On the occasion of the business trip, besides visiting booths at the Exhibition and interacting with defense enterprises of France and some countries, the delegation had meetings with Senior Lieutenant General Thierry Marchand, Director of the Cooperation Department and Security and Defense/French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Major General Geoffroy de Larouziere, Deputy Chief of Staff in charge of international relations of the French Army and Major General Caroline Salahun, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation in charge of Asia – Pacific, French Armament Directorate.

At the meetings, both sides expressed their agreement to assess the defense cooperation relationship that has been interested and promoted by the leaders of the two countries over the past time and achieved many positive results. In the coming time, the two sides agreed to promote the defense relationship between Vietnam and France in an effective and substantive direction, focusing on fields such as training, military medicine and UN peacekeeping.
On this occasion, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia also informed and invited the French Ministry of Army to send representatives and large French defense enterprises to attend the 1st International Defense Exhibition in Vietnam, scheduled to take place in Hanoi on May 12. December 2022.
