Elbit Systems, ISTAR & EW division has successfully delivered 'MAY', the wide-area acoustic sniper-detection solution, to a customer in the Asia Pacific region.
The system is an integrated solution combining acoustic sensors, EO camera and RADAR to provide terrain dominance for the SOF teams.
'MAY' smart sensing system continuously senses its surroundings and provides real-time analysis of the emanating sounds, using advanced algorithms and capabilities. Within seconds, the system will detect, define and precisely geo-locate enemy fire, automatically providing critical information for combat forces.
