Royal Thai Army Considered FMS Scheme to Replace AH-1F Attack Helos

According to the relaxation of preventive measures against Covid-19, this year Thailand was able to return to organizing Children's Day on January 14, 2023 after many years of abstinence, in the part of the Royal Thai Army, the main Children's Day venue in Bangkok is still 2nd Cavalry Division Keep His Majesty same as the previous year.


The military equipment displayed at the Children's Day 2023 at Fort Princess Srinagarindra, including the AH-1F Cobra attack helicopter in a new semi-gloss black camouflage color and a general purpose helicopter UH-60M Black Hawk, one of four new aircraft delivered in December 2022.


The Royal Thai Army needs to procure new attack helicopters with around 8 machines to replace the AH-1F that has been used for a long time. It will be purchased in the form of the Foreign Military Sale (FMS) from the US government, making the choice only AH-64E Apache or AH-1Z Viper, but currently there is no budget.
