The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) has ordered the supply of 3 systems of Dominator XP for Medium-Altitude, Long-Endurance Unmanned (MALE UAV) 3 systems for a budget of $ 27 million (895,000,000 baht) from Aeronautics Defense System Ltd., Israel in 2018, with a four-year budget commitment from 2018-2021, which has a ceremony to enter service on September 1, 2023.
Designated as an unmanned reconnaissance aircraft Aeronautics Dominator XP is the first MALE UAV unmanned aircraft of the Royal Thai Air Force that is in service with the 302 Squadron, Wing 3 Watthana Nakhon in Sa Kaeo Province, which is the first all-UAV squadron of the Royal Thai Air Force.
From images published in previous presentations and public relations documents of the Royal Thai Air Force during September-October and December 2022, it has been shown that Squadron 302, Wing 3, received unmanned aerial vehicles of 3rd Battalion Dominator XP.
The ceremony on September 1, 2023, marks the official launch into service alongside the unmanned aerial vehicles BR1 Aeronautics Aerostar BP Squadron 302 and unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned surveillance aircraft, and training type BR.TF1 (RTAF U-1) Squadron 301, Wing 3.
