RTMC Conducts Amphibious Landing Exercise with VN16

Take a look at the VN16 Amphibious Assault Vehicle, operating side by side with the AAV7A1 of the Royal Thai Marine Corps.


VN16 has an aluminum alloy hull, it has a battle-ready weight of 28.5 tons and can speed up to 25 km/h in water, which is considered very fast in the water.
 

It is armed with a 105 mm threaded cannon. If fired with an APFSDS DTW2 shell, it has the power to penetrate 460 mm RHA steel armor at an effective distance of 2000 m.


It is also equipped with a 7.62 mm co-axial machine gun and AA gun  12.7 mm also with 8 tubes smoke grenade launcher (2 sets of 4-barrel), counted as an important new weapon for the Thai Marine Corps, in an offensive from the sea to the shore the crisis will be resolved.
