Reuters reported that a follow-on order for Brahmos anti-ship coastal defense systems would be made by the Philippines, estimated to be worth US$300 million.
Currently, the only other active project related to anti-ship coastal defense systems aside from the already ongoing Shore Based Anti-Ship Missile System (SBASMS) Project of the Philippine Navy (Marines) is the Philippine Army's Land Based Anti-Ship Missile System (LBASMS) Project.
This is currently in the negotiation and pre-award stage and has not moved forward yet due to lack of funding from Philippine government.
Its original budget was Php10 billion (approx US$182 million now) for 2 batteries although it remains to be seen if the project was improved to cover 3 batteries and allocated a higher budget to compensate for the additional battery.
