In an interview with the Daily Tribune with Philippine Army Commanding General Romeo S. Brawner, on December 13, 2022, he said that the Multiple Launch Rocket System of the Philippine Army were not yet setting foot in the Philippine soil.
Brawner said the Philippines has already started to procure the platforms of the MLRS, but there are things that make it delay.
It seems that the K136 Kooryong MLRS of the AFP donated by South Korea will be delivered hopefully within 2023, due to some delays.
The AFP is expected to receive 22 Kooryong MLRS from South Korea, the Army will receive 3 batteries while the Marines will get one. The SARO for the MLRS was released under the term of the previous administration.
