US Air Force F-22 Raptors from the 199th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, Hawaii Air National Guard together with Philippine Air Force FA-50PH Fighting Eagle from the 7th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 5th Fighter Wing flying alongside as part of Exercise Cope Thunder 2023-2 over the West Philippine Sea.
The exercise will enable coordinated air operations between both forces and aircraft of different types including airspace control, threat identification & engagement & mutual support.
