Joint reconnaissance between the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) and the Indian Navy (IN) in the 33rd INDO-THAI CORPAT code in the Andaman Sea conducted between 4-7 May 2022.
It is the latest joint operation of the RTN 3rd Naval Area Command after the 32nd INDO-THAI CORPAT 2021 joint reconnaissance took place between 12-14 November 2021.
Frigate boat, HTMS Chao Phraya boat set HTMS Saiburi Recently joined the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN) in the SINGSIAM 2022 joint exercise between 20-22 March 2022 before arriving at the Phang Nga Naval Base. 3rd Navy Area at the end of last March.
While marine patrol aircraft Dornier Do 228 Squadron 101, Airborne Division 1, Naval Aviation Division still deploying support to TRF 3 as well as previous exercises in the Andaman Sea.
The Indian Navy continues to send Kora class corvettes, P64 INS Karmuk corvettes, to join patrols with the Royal Thai Navy. The same ship was sent in the previous training and reconnaissance last year. The training remains free of contact with the measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The Royal Thai Navy has cooperated with friends in the pursuit of mutual stability in the region. The Indian Navy has strong cooperation with the Royal Thai Navy as can be seen from this latest joint patrol.
