Defense Technology Institute DTI (Defence Technology Institute) Thailand has launched a prototype of the D11A multi-purpose rocket launcher vehicle at the Defense & Security 2022 International Defense Equipment Exhibition during 29 August - 1 September, 2022.

Developed on the basis of the PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) multi-caliber rocket launcher system in partnership with Israeli company Elbit Systems.

The development project of the D11A multi-purpose rocket launcher was started in the year 2019 and restarted in 2022, following a disruption due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the focus is on integrating the launch pad system into the Tatra 6x6 10 tonnes truck from the Czech Republic.

The Czech Tatra truck is used as a base vehicle for the M758 ATMG wheeled self-propelled artillery 155 mm/52calibre in service with the Royal Thai Army (RTA) and the Royal Thai Marine Corps (RTMC) Royal Thai Navy (RTN).

With the transfer of technology from Elbit Systems Israel, as well as wheeled self-propelled artillery ATMG(Autonomous Truck-Mounted Gun) based on ATMOS artillery system.

The production line of the D11A multi-purpose rocket launcher is likely to be operated by the Weapons Facility. Defense Industry and Military Energy Center NESDB (WPC: Weapon Production Center, DIEC: Defense Industry and Energy Center), Ministry of Defense of Thailand as well.

DTI Thailand has developed a high-performance DTI-2 rocket for a 122mm multi-barreled rocket system with a firing range of 40 km, which is entirely self-developed in Thailand. Which has been tested fired from a multi-barreled rocket launcher, artillery SR4, size 122mm, 40 firing tubes of the Royal Thai Army.

As well as improving the installation of multi-barreled rocket launchers DTI-2, 122mm, 20 launch tubes on multi-barreled rockets, self-propelled guns, Type 31 (Norinco Type 85 Self-Propelled Artillery Rocket Launcher (YW306) with 30 tubes 130mm rocket), Royal Thai Army and DTI's own launch vehicle.

Naval Military Research and Development Office Royal Thai Navy (NRDO: Naval Research & Development Office) Royal Thai Navy is also involved in the project to develop this multi-purpose rocket launcher D11A.

Therefore, it is understood that the D11A multi-purpose rocket launcher vehicle that will start production in Thailand in the year Year 2020 after passing the system certification test should be procured for service in both the Thai Army and the Royal Thai Navy with a common system

When commissioned, the D11A multi-launch multi-launcher with modular launchers will be able to fire a variety of guided and non-guided rocket systems of different calibers in two launchers. It is expected that in addition to the 122mm DTI-2 rocket developed in Thailand.

It also includes the Accular 122mm guided missile, 40km range, 18 shots set, 306mm EXTRA guided missiles, 150km range, 4 shots per set, and the 370mm Predator Hawk guided missiles, 300km range, 2 shots set.
