The $375 million contract to deliver BrahMos missiles to the Philippines placed India in an exclusive club of missile exporters.
BrahMos is poised to export its supersonic cruise missile to third-party, responsible, and friendly nations after receiving the necessary government licenses.
In a recent interview, the company’s CEO, Dinkar Rane, stated that shipments might begin as early as 2023.
Dinkal Rane told The New Indian Express on Tuesday. “The whole world looks at us, but we can only sell to countries agreeable to India and Russia. Whole of South East Asia is approaching us. The Philippines came on board first. Middle-East is very interested.”
