Congratulations to the Vietnamese Air Defense Force on successfully launching the first S-300 missile, after 20 years of importing 2 S-300 PMU-1 complexes from the Russian Federation.
It is known that this is a 48N6E missile, has a range of 150km, a target destruction altitude of up to 27km, and costs up to 1 million USD/shell (equivalent to 2 brand new Benz G63s).
According to Wikipedia, Vietnam bought two S-300 PMU-1 systems (12 launchers) for nearly $300 million in 2003, and RLS 96L6 after 2009. And then bought the S-300 PMU-2 in 2012.
