BANSUD, ORIENTAL MINDORO – Two of the newest aircraft of the Philippine Airforce, the AH-1S COBRA attack helicopter and the S70i Black Hawk helicopter, arrived on the Island of Mindoro on September 29, 2022.
COBRA attack helicopter with S70i Black Hawk helicopter for the first time landed and conducted operations in the area of 203rd Guard Peace Brigade. The said aircraft conducted aerial reconnaissance to identify the temporary sources of the NPA terrorists and will be the aerial support of the army in the operation being conducted. COBRA attack helicopter carries large caliber guns and rockets to help suppress insurgency and terrorism here on Mindoro island. Meanwhile, the S70i Black Hawk helicopter will be used for rapid troop entry into the area for an operation to retrieve NPA terrorists exploiting the area.
BGEN JOSE AUGUSTO V VILLAREAL PA, leader of the 203Brigade, gave thanks for the innovative equipments that can help the operation of the army because the army can quickly reach far places to provide the swift action on citizens' responses.
To the remaining members of the Terrorist CPP-NPA, surrender to the government so that you can be with your family, the army is ready to help those who wish to go back to the government and enjoy a peaceful life with family, but in members of terrorist groups who don't want to surrender are ready the AFP to use all innovative tools to completely wipe out the range of exploiters in Mindoro Island.
