New Vietnamese soldiers training with the STV-380 7.62×39mm rifle. It can be seen that the STV-380 has finally made its way towards frontline units and is continuing to be issued across the People's Army of Vietnam as a standard-issue rifle.
The STV-380s had been manufactured at Factory Z111 as early as 2020 and were developed from localizing Israeli Galil Ace 32 rifles also produced in Vietnam for a short period of time after Israel Weapons Industries granted Vietnam license firearm production and transferred production technology.
