(Dan Tri) - Many modern weapons and military equipment of Vietnam and 29 countries were brought to the exhibition area of more than 50,000m2 at Gia Lam airport (Hanoi) to serve the National Defense Exhibition of Vietnam 2022.
The exhibition aims to strengthen and expand international cooperation and defense diplomacy, and to build trust between Vietnam and countries around the world. At the same time, the exhibition is also a place for Vietnam to promote and propagate the capacity, technological potential, weapons and equipment produced by the National Defense Industry (CNQP) of Vietnam to international friends and domestic people ; create conditions for countries, companies, domestic and international enterprises to introduce and display products, seek opportunities to expand cooperation in the field of defense industry.
As noted by reporter Dan Tri on the afternoon of December 7, in the outdoor area, the Organizing Committee displayed a number of weapons and equipment of the Vietnam People's Army (not for commercial use and transferred to other countries).
According to the Organizing Committee, there have been 170 domestic and foreign units and businesses from 30 countries in the ASEAN region, Asia, Europe and America registered to have booths at the exhibition.
Many modern weapons and equipment were also brought by domestic and foreign units to display for the Exhibition taking place from December 8-10.

Senior Colonel Luu Van Hoan - Political Director of the 918th Air Force Brigade said that from 2020 the unit had grasped the plan to deploy the International Defense Exhibition, but due to the Covid-19 epidemic situation, the exhibition was delayed and postponed until 2022.
"The 918th Air Force Brigade was assigned by superiors to coordinate with other units to do well in preparing for the exhibition. In which, the unit maneuvered aircraft to move to Kien An Airport. - Hai Phong and Tan Son Nhat Airport to reduce the load on Gia Lam Airport, so that there is more space for the exhibition" said Senior Colonel Luu Van Hoan.
