As the Army continues to keep pace with advancement in technology, one key area of trials and development by HQ Army Intelligence has been in the employment of drones in operations.

As the usage of small VTOL UAVs are proliferated across the Army to enhance our sensing capabilities, there is a need to ensure the safe usage of drones in Singapore's congested air- and land-space.

The five-day Basic Vertical Take Off and Landing UAV Operator Course (BVOC) is conducted by School Of Army Reconnaissance (SOAR) to qualify soldiers from across the Army to operate these UAVs safely.

Click on to glimpse how our operators from the recent 31/22 BVOC were trained and certified by SOAR to operate VTOL UAVs in the Army.
