QDND Online - Morning of August 14, at Can Tho City, X55 Factory, the Technical Department, the Navy Service Department organized the handover of the multi-purpose transport vessel VDN-150 to Regiment 659 (Logistics Department, Military Region 9) .
Attending the handover meeting were Major General Le Hong Dung, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics; Major General Nguyen Duc Tung, Director of Transportation Department, General Department of Logistics; Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu, Deputy Commander of Military Region 9 and a number of related agencies and units.
VDN-150 is a military ship built according to modern technology, constructed according to national standards on steel hull shipbuilding QCVN 21: 2015 / BGTVT. Ships have the duty of transporting means and materials or carrying troops and coordinating in search and rescue on rivers and at sea; Can carry 120 tons of vehicles and goods.
After more than 11 months of construction, on February 3, 2020, the ship was launched on the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam. To ensure the schedule of launching ships, the agencies and units of the X55 Factory have coordinated closely and uniformly deployed tasks; Team of cadres and workers are assigned the task of urgently construction of items, especially during the Lunar New Year of Canh Ty 2020.
After launching the ship, Naval X55 Factory continued to perfect the following items: Test explosion and load test of 2 ship's generators; tilt test, check ship stability; explosion test, test 2 main machines; testing, checking and acceptance of internal equipment and systems on board; inspection and separation of internal berths ... Crew members of the ship were trained, tested and issued by the X55 Factory in accordance with regulations.
After nearly 18 months of construction, the VDN-150 vessel has been completed on schedule, ensuring quality, technical features according to design. The completion of the new building and handover of the VDN-150 has affirmed the new military shipbuilding capabilities of the Naval X55 Factory; At the same time, it is the basis for the Factory to build new larger and more modern ships for the Navy Corps and for the armed forces in Military Region 9.
