Poll: Overwhelming Majority Of Democrats Disapprove Of President Trump's DEcision To Withdraw Military Forces From Syria


The Hill: Poll: 57 percent of Republicans approve of Trump's Syria withdrawal

More than half of Republicans agree with President Trump’s decision to pull troops out of northeastern Syria, according to a new Economist/YouGov weekly tracking poll.

Of respondents who self-identified as Republicans, 25 percent said they strongly approve of the troop withdrawal, while 32 percent said they somewhat approve. A combined 26 percent of the Republican respondents said they disapprove on some level while 18 percent had no opinion.

The poll comes as Trump has faced fierce criticism from a number of Republicans, including some of his most ardent allies, over the troop withdrawal.

The Democrats and their progressive allies have now replaced the neocons in the Republican Party to become the "war party" in Washington.
