Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Starts Production of Javelin for Thailand etc

Raytheon/Lockheed Martin Javelin JV, Tucson, Arizona, was awarded a $71,412,090 modification (P00066) to contract W31P4Q-19-C-0076 for the Javelin Missile System. Work will be performed in Tucson, Arizona, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 28, 2025. Fiscal 2022 missile procurement, Army funds; and Foreign Military Sales (Thailand, Norway, Albania and Latvia) funds in the amount of $71,412,090 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, is the contracting activity.

Contract document between the US Department of Defense and a joint venture company Raytheon and Lockheed Martin for the production of the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile, foreign customers include Thailand, Norway, Albania and Latvia. May 12, 2012.

The United States has approved the possibility of selling the FGM-148 Javelin anti-tank missile in the form of Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Royal Thai Army since July 2021, consisting of 50 launch kits and 300 rockets. The amount is about $83.5 million, which is unlikely to be provided in this amount.

The Royal Thai Army has a need for a replacement for the M40 106mm non-reflective gun, which is mounted on the M151 truck that is used in the assault platoon, the surveillance reconnaissance company, the infantry regiment, and several infantry brigade units, part of which has been replaced by a guided-missile weapon.
