Defense Technology Institute of Thailand has been working on the development of various UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) systems, many of which have been successfully developed to the point where there are production lines or built in numbers. One, to be used in the actual user unit.

Such as the D-Eyes 02 Mini UAV system that was delivered to the Marine Corps Command Royal Thai Navy, try it out in December 2020.

Skyfront Perimeter 4 small unmanned aerial vehicle in collaboration between Thai DTI and Thai company GCS Group, which is the official representative of Skyfront United States, one of the leaders in the innovation of unmanned aerial vehicle systems with Hybrid Electrical  Engine-Fuel Engine, that convert gasoline into electricity in flight. Unlike previous Thai-developed VTOL UAVs, which are mostly powered by electric batteries, in a similar size, the VTOL UAV hybrid engine system has a longer operating time by taking advantage of energy system.

Skyfront Perimeter 4 VTOL UAV has a flight time of 2.5 kg, which is more than 2 hours (tested at 1 hour 30 minutes), can carry the heaviest 15 kg (test at not less than 3 kg), if unloaded can fly for 4 hours at maximum speed 57 km/h (tested at 40km/h). Transmission of telemetry as far as 10 km (tested at 9 km) still images and movies from the camera. Electro-Optical / Infrared (EO/IR) for a distance of 50 km when there is no obstacle. Cooperation between Thai DTI and Thai and foreign private sector is the correct direction for industrial development.
