BRP Tarlac Deploys to West Philippine Sea

BRP Tarlac Arrived in Palawan

Headquarters Naval Forces West, Puerto Princesa City --- BRP Tarlac (LD 601), one of the Philippine Navy’s Amphibious Landing Dock arrived at Puerto Princesa International Pier on 17 April 2021.

BRP Tarlac skipped by Capt Norman A Mutia PN(GSC) and manned by Fleet-Marine personnel will be deployed together with other Philippine Navy (PN) vessels in different areas of concern in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

The deployment of BRP Tarlac and other PN vessels in the Western Command Joint Area of Operation (JAO) is in line with the directive of the Department of National Defense and the Armed Forces of the Philippines leadership to intensify the conduct of sovereignty patrols in order to protect our local fishermen, preserve the marine environment, and secure our national interest.

The Western Command through Naval Forces West will continue to perform mandated tasks in support to national policy and strategy in protecting what rightfully belongs to the Philippines.
