On December 9,  2020 Gen. Chanin Chantarachot, Advisor to the Defense Technology Institute Chief of the team to deliver a prototype  mini unmanned aerial vehicle system (MINI UAV) to Admiral Sorakai Sirikanna, Deputy Commander of the Marine Corps, is the representative of the Royal Thai Army in taking the delivery.

This Mini UAV to be used for testing in supporting missions in the operational area including the conservation of natural resources and the environment and disaster relief assistance at the multipurpose building.


Thanks to the team from the Naval Research and Development Institute for giving us the opportunity to jointly design, research and develop to create a long-range VTOL (vertical unmanned aerial vehicle)  prototype (500km) made from dry carbon fiber material for the whole made 100% by Thai people.

This cooperation will serve as a starting point for our country to have high-performance unmanned aerial vehicles for use in various missions, both military and civilian, to reduce expensive foreign imports.


Delivering the D-Eyes 02 Mini UAV, a prototype code DUF-004 developed by the Defense Technology Institute of Thailand (DTI) to the Marine Corps Command for trial use on December 9, 2020, it is a mark that shows that.

The Mini UAS (Unmanned Aerial System) D-Eyes 02 system has a 1 hour operating time, 10 km surveillance radius, 5.6 kg payload installation weight, equipped with EO (Electro-Optical) camerasm, 10x and 8x magnification night camera.


Constructed of advanced composite material, lightweight, strong and durable, send it off by hand, designed and developed by DTI, Thailand, which has already been certified by the Royal Thai Army Weaponry Standards Committee.
