Thailand's Defense Technology Institute (DTI) demonstrated firing domestic DTI-2 122mm on SR4 wheeled self-propelled Multiple Launch Rocket System and Range Instrument Radar (RIR) at Royal Thai Army Artillery Center Range, Lopburi province, 11 November 2020.
Demonstration of firing of the SR4 multi-barreled rocket launcher system, the Thai Army, with a 122mm DTI-2 rocket, 10km range of continously for 10 shots. This is the success of the advancement of the DTI-2 high-performance rocket system.
The latest test was carried out on August 19, 2020, including a test firing from a new modified launch pad on a multi-barreled self-propelled rocket propulsion type JL 31 on the basis of a armoured tracked vehicle Type 85.
The latest demonstration will also be the first to show the Range Instrument Radar (RIR: Range Instrument Radar) in measuring long-range simulated firepower testing alongside previous works such as a firing system a 302mm multi-barreled rocket DTI-1G.
