DTI and Cho Thavee Partnered to Meet Philippine OPV Requirement

The signing of a memorandum of agreement for the latest cooperation between the Defense Technology Institute of Thailand (DTI) and Cho Thavee Public Company Limited (CHO THAVEE PLC) in the proposal of the Royal Thai Navy's Krabi Offshore Patrol Vessel for the Philippine Navy.

Is the latest progress after DTI signed a memorandum of agreement with Bangkok Dock Company Limited in March 2020 that is promoting the Thai defence industry sector.

However, the project for procurement of ships, new 6 OPV for the Philippine Navy, the BAE Systems's design 90m OPV of the United Kingdom that Thailand built will have to compete with the Australian Austal ship model, which has more experience in the ship building market and is expected to win the project.
