The Hill: Iran acknowledges rocket explosion at space center, blames technical malfunction
Iran on Monday acknowledged a rocket explosion at its space center and blamed a technical malfunction for the incident, the Associated Press reported.
Satellite photos had originally shown the explosion at the Imam Khomeini Space Center last week.
President Trump was criticized by experts after tweeting out a detailed photo of the site of the failed satellite launch which may have been classified.
Trump denied that the U.S. played any role in Iran’s failed attempt to launch a satellite into space, while appearing to sarcastically wish Tehran “good luck” in determining the cause.
