Seth Frantzman, The Algemeiner: Why Were the 7,000 Antisemitic Incidents Under Obama Largely Ignored?

In the last two months, almost 100 Jewish community centers and day schools have been targeted with antisemitic threats. The map of the threats is shocking. It stretches from Maine to Florida, Texas, Colorado, all the way to California and Washington. Despite more than 190 antisemitic incidents, no arrests have been made. These are terrifying times for many, and there is a feeling that antisemitism is reaching a crescendo in the US. The perception is that America has historically been safe and tolerant, but today a rising “wave” of antisemitism may be breaking on its golden door.

WNU Editor: I suspect the trend of antisemitic attacks continued after President Trump elected, and instead of addressing it the federal government was focused elsewhere. Will Pittsburgh now change this focus .... I do not know. Antisemitism is a huge problem in the U.S., and even more so in Europe. And blaming President Trump for this as many in the media have been pushing .... Trump’s Ideology Is Anti-Semitism Without Jews (Jonathan Chait, New Yorker) .... even though President Trump's daughter and grandchildren are Jewish .... is not helping.

Update: I expect more push-back this week .... Trump Allies Reject Link of Rhetoric to Increased Violence (Bloomberg). As to the question .... will the horrific crimes of the past week impact the U.S. midterm elections? My gut says that they will, but not in the manner that the mainstream media is expecting/hoping for. If anything .... they are pushing people towards President Trump in reaction to these events and how it is covered.
