FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Marine Corps’ Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability is now ready for redeployment after undergoing regular series of tests, repairs, and maintenance from deployment.

The drone assets were acquired in 2017 and deployed to Marine Forces nationwide for Imagery and Targeting Support System. The drone used for this system is the MAG Aerospace Super Swiper II acquired under the Horizon 1 of the AFP Modernization Program.

The ISR has been instrumental in the conduct of successful Marine operations by enhancing situational awareness of the operating environment in real time. It also boosts the Archipelagic Coastal Defense of the Philippine Marine Corps.
