KAI signs MOU for technology exchange with Airbus
Korea Aviation Engineering & Maintenance Service (KAEMS), a subsidiary of Korea Aerospace Industries, announced on the 11th that it has signed a business agreement with Airbus to cooperate with the maintenance of aircraft operating in the Korea Coast Guard and RoKAF.
KAEMS and Airbus signed a business agreement for technical support in the field of maintenance of C-212 and CN-235 on the previous day (May, 10th). With this agreement, KAEMS will be able to secure maintenance capabilities for both aircraft within the year.
KAEMS is expected to participate in the CN-235 performance improvement project through cooperation with Airbus, as well as to improve military power generation and synergies in the development of the domestic MRO industry.
KAEMS CEO Jo Yeon-gi emphasized, “By cooperation with ADS, we are able to provide the best maintenance technology and quality to customers. Based on KAMES' technology, we will maximize synergy in the MRO field.”
KAEMS added, "We plan to provide services and innovative MRO solutions to customers in Asia through Airbus global MRO network in the future."
