Joe Battenfeld, Boston Herald: Trump’s worst nightmare: Coronavirus tanks economy and hands race to socialist Bernie Sanders

WNU Editor: For the past week I have been hearing this type of speculation from Trump supporters. I have a different point of view. Many of Senator Sander's supporters are people who are already suffering economic hard times, and they will vote for him regardless. And as for the rest of his supporters, they are attracted to his ideology and policies. As for President Trump, his supporters and the Republican Party are solidly committed to him, and they will not blame him for such a disaster. What will determine this upcoming election will be Democrats who are not part of Bernie Sanders' base and independents, and I just do not see them flocking to the polls on election day to elect him. America is a centre-right country, not a socialist one. And a President Bernie Sanders is a bridge too far for these voters to support.
