WNU Editor: This is not how diplomacy is done. But to be honest ....I have had my own share of diplomatic dinner snafus. My worst one .... being served dog and eel at a provincial banquet in China. When our host asked me why was I not eating my meal .... I took one bite of the eel, spat it out, and what I then said was undiplomatic and blunt. Best diplomatic meal that I have ever had was in the Chinese embassy in Ottawa, Canada when I was no longer a diplomat but a Canadian citizen. It was a Mongolian dish ..... the meat/sauce/preparation/everything about it .... even though it has almost 25 years, I still dream about it.
