The Malaysian Army Debuts GK-M1 Gun Tower

The Malaysian Army has debuted the first batch of Weststar/Global Komited GK-M1 howitzer gun tower during a capability demonstration of Army’s Training and Doctrine Command.


The men from Army’s Artillery Training Centre (Pusat Latihan Artileri – PUSARTI) showcased their skills preparing a battery of Italian built Oto Melara Type 56 105mm pack howitzer towed by the latest variant of GK-M1 in service.


The Royal Artillery Regiment is not a stranger when it come to using locally manufactured military vehicle. This include the DEFTECH/Styer-Puch Pinzgauer and MASDEF/Uro VAMTAC gun towers.
