ABC News Online: Chinese consulate in Pakistan attacked, leaving five dead including three suicide bombers

Suicide bombers have attacked the Chinese consulate in Pakistan's southern city of Karachi, killing two police officers but failing to enter the compound.

A blast and gunshots rang out in the affluent Clifton neighbourhood, where the consulate is located, along with those of several other nations.

A doctor at a nearby hospital confirmed at least two Pakistani policemen had died, and a security guard was injured.
